IMAGEPrint FltPlan.com Navlogs Directly From the
Garmin Pilot App

IMAGEGarmin added integration between FltPlan.com and Garmin Pilot last year, allowing users of both platforms to create, file, amend and cancel flight plans on either platform. The latest release of Garmin Pilot, v. 10.2 takes the integration a step further by allowing users to print navlogs for easy in–flight reference using the AirPrint® software feature from Apple®. Simply view the navlog, select the share icon, and choose the print option.

If you haven’t tried Garmin Pilot, a 30–day free trial is available in the App Store®. Once you have created a Garmin Pilot account, enter your FltPlan.com sign–in credentials under Settings, and import your pilot, aircraft and current flight plan information. Imported flight plans may be viewed in Trip Planning and will include the FltPlan.com logo for easy identification. For pilots who have purchased pre–departure clearances (PDCs) and eAPIS from FltPlan.com, these features may also be used in the Garmin Pilot app.

IMAGECARICOM eAPIS Made Easy with FltPlan

Established in 2007, the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) is a group of 20 countries, encompassing 15 member states and five associate members. Twelve of these members and associate members currently require eAPIS manifest submissions for flights to, from and between the following participating CARICOM member and associate member states:
IMAGE

  • Antigua and Barbuda
  • Barbados
  • Cayman Islands
  • Dominica
  • Grenada
  • Guyana
  • Haiti
  • Jamaica
  • Saint Lucia
  • St. Kitts and Nevis
  • St. Vincent and the Grenadines
  • Trinidad and Tobago

The following CARICOM members do not require eAPIS manifest submissions at this time: Anguilla, Bahamas, Belize, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Montserrat, Suriname, and Turks and Caicos Islands.

FltPlan’s U.S. eAPIS service with the Mexican/CARICOM APIS add–on meets CARICOM entry and exit requirements. Subscribers’ U.S. eAPIS manifests are automatically submitted to the appropriate authorities through an approved electronic data interchange system. FltPlan.com simplifies compliance by prompting subscribers on their active flight plan list when a flight plan is created into a location for which a manifest submission is required.

To learn more, visit our eAPIS information page, or call the FltPlan.com sales office at 203–262–8942.

IMAGEGarmin Virtual AirVenture Oshkosh Experience

We can’t be in Oshkosh this year, but we can still bring exciting events, experiences and educational offerings to you. Mark your calendar for July 20–25. Here’s what we have in store for the week.

IMAGEView Changes to NOTAMs From Your Active Flight Plan List

IMAGE If you’ve noticed a yellow "warning" symbol on your Active Flight Plan List, it means that there has been a change to NOTAMs within the last 12 hours for flights scheduled for that day and 2 days out.

Clicking on the triangle brings you to the weather page, where you can see the most recent changes to NOTAMS.

The default setting is 12 hours, but you can customize this setting from 3 to 11 hours by going to Main Menu > Settings > Default User Settings. Look for "Recent NOTAMS on Weather Page," and select your default from the drop–down menu.
