NEW NOTAM ALERTS ON ACTIVE FLIGHT PLAN LIST
An important part of the preflight process is reviewing NOTAMs that are relevant for your flight. Our latest update to FltPlan, integrates a NOTAM alert directly into the Active Flight Plan List for easy access. NAVAID and terminal NOTAMs, issued within the last 12 hours, will display an alert symbol next to your arrival or departure airport, as appropriate. A yellow triangle indicates issues requiring further evaluation, such as a taxiway closure, while a red triangle indicates runway or airport closures. Simply click the new NOTAM alert to view the detailed NOTAM information, right from the Main Menu. NOTAMs are still available from the Weather page if you prefer to use the previous method of checking them.

CAYMAN ISLANDS ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE SLOT REQUIREMENTS
The Cayman Islands is one of the Caribbean's most popular destinations, especially during the holiday season. The country's main airport, Owen Roberts International Airport, now requires all aircraft operators to have arrival and departure slot approvals. These slot requests must be submitted to the Civil Aviation Authorities 48 hours prior to operation and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Also, beginning February 2022, overnight parking will be limited to a maximum of 72 hours. There are generally two ways to reach the Cayman Islands from the U.S. Flights departing from the West Coast and central states of the U.S. will most likely fly through Mexican and Central American airspaces where airspace fees may be applicable. Flights departing from the East Coast of the U.S. will most likely wish to fly over Cuba and will require a Cuban Overflight Permit to do so. If you plan to travel to the Cayman Islands — or any other Caribbean destination for that matter — take advantage of our wide range of online and premium services. You can pay your Mexican airspace fees online or request a Cuban Overflight Permit online as well. If you wish for us to arrange everything for you, including permits, airspace fees, slots approvals and ground handling in MWCR, request a ground handling quote from your Active Flight Plan list. If you have any questions, feel free to contact our team at +1 (786) 206-6031.

NEW FLTPLAN SMS FEATURE: STREAMLINED DASHBOARD COMING SOON
FltPlan SMS will include a new streamlined dashboard that combines legacy Risk Reports and the Enhanced Risk Reports into one comprehensive view. This enhancement provides a single location to quickly view and manage your company’s reports. As mentioned in the last FltBrief, a new settings icon on the left-hand menu bar will provide easy access to user roles and allow operators to customize the Safety Performance Indicators (SPI) for each report type. Flight crews, maintenance personnel, cabin crew and other groups can have their own SPI for their specific report type, saving time and effort when submitting reports. This change makes it easy to remove items from the list of standard SPI and add those that are unique to specific areas of operation. To customize the SPI for your flight department: • Select Settings from the left menu. • Click on the SPI Categories icon. • Choose the Report Type. • Add the new SPI Name in the field provided and select Add. • Choose the Red Circle with a White Line to remove the item from the SPI category, and select Delete to confirm the change.
