With release v10.5, Garmin Pilot now graphically depicts runway and airport closures — red runways with a yellow “X” are closed, and yellow runways indicate an upcoming closure. The update also adds alerts for terminal environment NOTAMs that enable pilots to quickly view any pertinent NOTAMs with new color-coded warnings as well as display of airspaces using ICAO-defined classification colors — especially beneficial for those flying throughout Europe. Additional enhancements include the ability to view TAF and MOS forecasts as color coded overlays on the dynamic map and embedded annotations within PDFs on the document viewer.
