FltPlan Provides Connectivity with Other Devices and Apps
FltPlan has begun the next phase in our app development, which includes integration with other devices and other apps. FltPlan is the largest flight plan provider in North America. In the U.S., we create more than 70 percent of all flight plans for jets and turbo props. We produce more flight plans for all aircraft -- from single engine to jets -- than all other service providers combined. We are now making it even easier for pilots, allowing them to transfer their flight plan data to their Dynon SkyView avionics. In addition, for those using Jeppesen approach charts, we’ve enabled the direct transfer of your flight plan routing to the Jeppesen app.
We already integrate with Garmin (through an SD card), Satcom Direct (through both data-link and app to app), Dynon Avionics (through a flash drive), and Universal Avionics (SD card). Our latest additions to the list are the Jeppesen Mobile FD and the Dynon Skyview.
Jeppesen Mobile FD Version 2.7
Because many Part 135 operators and corporate pilots use Jeppesen charts versus NOS charts, we have made it so your FltPlan route can be transferred directly to your Jeppesen Mobile app. This offers you the best of both worlds. With FltPlan you get all of the features you’ve come to depend upon, and with Jeppesen you get the best quality charts. Now there is no need to copy and paste a route from FltPlan to Jesppesen or to manually type it in.
For written instructions on how to transfer from FltPlan Go to Jeppesen Mobile FD, click here. You can also view our Jeppesen Mobile FD Integration support video for more information.
In the past, FltPlan has made it possible to download a formatted flight plan file onto a flash drive. FltPlan now lets you transfer directly from your FltPlan Go app to the Dynon Skyview avionics. This makes entering a flight plan into your Dynon Skyview a seamless operation, with minimal keystrokes and no typing errors. Route information is submitted to your Skyview avionics with the push of two buttons – no flash drive, no SD card, and no wires. You can also transfer routes entered on the Dynon SkyView back to our FltPlan Go app.

Keep Your Passengers Informed with FltPlan’s Passenger Flight Briefing
If you haven’t been using FltPlan’s Passenger Flight Briefing, maybe it’s time you checked it out. FltPlan’s Pax Briefing gives users ultimate flexibility in providing flight information to passengers, as it is structured to display information for all types of aircraft and flights.
The Passenger Flight Briefing can be printed or emailed in advance of your flight to provide details such as departure and arrival times, flight times, FBO information, weather, etc. You can customize specifics such as the passenger greeting, the title of your Passenger Flight Briefing, any opening comments, crew information, and additional information such as catering.
The Passenger Briefing gives you the option of displaying a route map with either the actual or the direct route. You can store messages and information that you want included in every briefing that you create by clicking on the Set Default Information for Pax Briefing.
FltPlan’s Pax Briefing also includes FBO addresses and phone numbers. This can be a great help in locating some of those hard to find locations at the airport. It’s as simple as selecting your departure and arrival FBO.
Your Passenger Briefing can be customized to include your company logo for a one time setup fee of $50. Combined with our new, clean design this provides your passengers with professional and personalized information. To add your company’s logo, please call 203-262-6020.
To create a Pax Briefing, log in to your account and, from the Main Menu, select Flight Planning, then Pax Briefing.
FltPlan’s “Email This Page” Option
Among the many conveniences of using FltPlan is the ability to email so many of the FltPlan pages directly from the website or the FltPlan Go app. Look for the email this page button. You’ll find it at the bottom of the NavLog, Pax Briefings, Calendar, Weather Briefings, and Weight & Balance page. Click the button, enter the email address in the email column and be sure to put a checkmark in the “send” checkbox. Press the “send” button and you're done. We’ve recently added the ability to enter a name or notes for each email address, making a quick selection even easier.
528,691 email notifications of planned ATC routes and EDCTs were sent in October 2015.
FltPlan’s eAPIS Service Includes Canadian APIS for Commercial Operators
FltPlan offers a Canadian APIS (Advanced Passenger Information Systems) service, which complies with Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) requirements for commercial operators. This integrates our system with the Canadian APIS system to allow commercial carriers who fly in and out of Canada the convenience of submitting their U.S. & Canadian eAPIS through our website.
FltPlan has been providing U.S. eAPIS since 2009. We were the first commercial provider to be certified by DHS/Customs for submissions of eAPIS manifests for Part 91 operators. We have since added Mexican and Caricom APIS to our menu of services.
For more information on our eAPIS service, please call our Premium Services office at 731-855-8000 between 9am and 5pm Eastern Time.
