Check Out FltPlan Go for iPhone: It’s Even Better on iPhone 6

More and more of our users are relying on our free FltPlan Go apps. Now with the larger screen on the iPhone 6, the FltPlan Go app for iPhone looks even better. FltPlan Go for iPhone has most of the same functionality as our tablet apps, all in your pocket. Look for features such as:

With users getting more accustomed to the many features available on the FltPlan Go app, we found the need for more detailed instructions. We now offer our FltPlan Go User's Manual for both Android and iPad. Whether you’ve been using FltPlan Go for a while or you’re a new user just becoming acquainted with our free Android app, this manual is for you. Here you’ll find step-by-step directions on everything from downloading a NavLog to using our Weight & Balance tool.

FltPlan Go is the only Android app that you need for in-flight and offline navigation.

Check Out the Default User Settings Page

User Default Settings

One way to make your life easier is to use FltPlan's Default User Settings. Taking a little time to set your defaults once can streamline your flight planning process. To find the Default User Settings link, click on the Settings button on the left side of the Main Menu page.

Once there you can set your defaults for:

  • Weather, including preferences for Winds Aloft
  • iPad and Android preferences
  • DCM Call Sign (if you are a Dot Com call sign user)
  • Sorting your Active Flight Plan list by aircraft or by date
  • Calendar options
  • NavLog display
  • Intermediate Fuel Stop
  • ICAO Item 18 STS/Special Handling
  • Main Menu (this allows you to show the expanded menu list, without clicking the button each time)
  • Flight Plan Selection (IFR or VFR)

So check it out: A few minutes now could make flight planning easier down the road.

FltPlan’s eAPIS Service Now Includes Canadian APIS for Part 135 Operators

TwitterFltPlan now offers a Canadian APIS (Advanced Passenger Information Systems) service, which complies with Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) requirements for Part 135 operators.

FltPlan has been providing U.S. eAPIS since 2009. We were the first commercial provider to be certified by DHS/Customs for submissions of eAPIS manifests for Part 91 operators. We have since added Mexican and Caricom APIS to our menu of services.
